Yappl is a dynamic and fast-growing B2B communications provider, with a strong focus on new technology (especially in the arena of Connectivity & Unified Comms). To support with growth we are seeking an experienced IT Engineer with demonstrable customer service, time management and problem solving skills to join our team on a full time, permanent basis.

Our HO is based in Alfreton, Derbyshire, however the successful person will join us either in an office based working capacity or on a hybrid working basis, allowing flexibility to work from home with some site and office visits required. 

THE ROLE

The Support & Networks Engineer will be responsible for supporting our existing and potential B2B customers in a timely and accurate manner. You will provide 1st & 2nd line technical support using a selection of tools and your own initiative to troubleshoot customer issues and help support internal staff:

  • WiFi
  • WAN
  • LAN
  • VOIP
  • Microsoft 365

Other Responsibilities Include:

  • Attending sites for solution deployments/support/surveys
  • Internal ‘general IT Support’

THE SUCCESSFUL PERSON

We are seeking a customer-focused individual, who possess a background within a senior role with a good understanding of Broadband, Unified Comms (hosted telephony), Networking & Mobile technologies. Key Skills & Experience Required:

-Minimum 2 years’ experience within an IT support role (or similar)

-Highly professional, organised with a keen eye for detail

-Prior experience working for a Communications Provider would be highly beneficial

-Full UK Driving Licence and happy to attend site visits where required

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

-Ability to handle complaints efficiently

-Ability to work as part of a team, supporting colleagues where necessary

-Ability to work well under pressure

WHAT WE OFFER / HOURS

Working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.30pm with potential for Out of Hours remote support

-Competitive Salary up to £28,000 DOE
