A1 Comms Group is currently seeking an experienced Sales Team Leader to join our vibrant call centre team based in Derby.  This is a full-time, permanent position and will see you joining a dynamic telecoms business that inspires a fast-paced culture and fosters personal progress.


We offer a great shift pattern, working 4 days in a row from 08:00 – 20:15, followed by 4 days off – allowing you to spend more time doing the things you love outside of work!

Working within a vibrant and fast-paced sales environment, you will be providing administrative and people management support to the sales team. As a Sales Team Leader, you’ll be promoting and cross-selling products and services to our customers, while identifying areas of development and providing coaching across the telesales team.

Key Responsibilities as a Sales Advisor:

  • Conduct monthly 121 reviews with each member of your team
  • Set individual and team targets in line with SMART methodology
  • Support the Telesales Manager in motivating, coaching, and mentoring the Telesales team to gain engagement and driving performance
  • Maximise service and sales profitability by upselling and cross-selling products and services
  • Achieve set sales targets and KPI’s – hitting personal, departmental and company objectives
  • Ensure all procedures, rules and regulatory compliance standards are consistently achieved
  • Provide feedback and coaching to the team and ensure consistency with quality, compliance, and individual performance
  • Support the Telesales Manager in recruitment and selection of potential sales agents

Key Skills and Experience Required:

  • Experience in people management, including providing feedback and coaching in a sales environment, as well as being able to deliver team meetings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive and pro-active attitude, with the ability to stay focused when under pressure
  • Highly computer literate with excellent excel skills
  • Confidence to overcome and handle objections
  • Experience in a target driven telesales environment
  • Capable of ensuring all procedures, rules and regulatory standards are achieved
