DERBYSHIRE, UK – 11 August 2022 – Industry expert Shane Kelly (pictured above) joins the telesales and customer service team.

With six years of experience working in mobile and telecommunications, Shane is the latest addition to A1 Comms expanding telesales and customer service operations team at the Darley Abbey office in Derbyshire – which won the award for Virgin Media O2 Award for Best Postpay Partner 2022 in June. The award recognised the company’s success in delivering on innovation and outstanding trading and commercial performance, driven in part by A1 Comms’ thriving call centre.

Shane brings his wealth of knowledge in the mobile industry to the position, having previously worked his way through roles such as Sales Advisor, Sales Coach and Team Manager whilst working at Dixons Carphone and Currys. His new role involves running the day-to-day aspects of telesales, including inbound and outbound activities and dealing with new contracts, upgrades and Sky products.

“Coming from an outside perspective and coming from a call centre that was similar to here, there are things that can be implemented in the company with a plan for progression and expansion in mind,” said Shane. “The idea is to have 200 or more agents – which to me is brilliant, and it’s good to see that growth.”

Shane is the most recent addition to the Darley Abbey office of A1 Comms, which will grow to include 43 sales advisors on Shane’s team alone by the end of August 2022.

“We’re at a point now, as a business, where there’s a lot going on – especially in telesales – and there’s so much opportunity for growth. We’re continually recruiting and expanding, and it’s a great time for people to join the business,” Shane continues. “It’s different in terms of communication, which is great. I talk quite regularly with Steve Heald, the Managing Director, which wouldn’t have been the case in my previous roles. Everyone is very open, very friendly, and very approachable. The feeling I have is that Steve’s got my back.”
