DERBYSHIRE, UK – 21 June 2023 – Rising two places since 2022, the mobile communications business continues to steadily rise up the list following a year of growth.
The Derbyshire Top 200 Businesses List, published annually by the University of Derby Business School, ranks all private sector businesses across the county and takes into account various statistics before finalising rankings.
Such criteria as annual turnover and the number of employees are considered, leading A1 Comms to achieve a number 33 ranking for 2023 – two places higher than in 2022, where they were ranked at number 35.
The two place rise comes after A1 Comms celebrated its 25th year of business last November, and following the announcement of the company’s new Community Partnership with local educators, Alfreton Park School.
“I’m so pleased to see our progress in the Derbyshire Top 200 again this year,” said Steve Heald, Manager Director, who credits the improved ranking to the fantastic staff, collaborations with leading network providers, and great value mobile deals from retail brands Affordable Mobiles and Buymobiles.
Discussing the growth of the company and the increased turnover in the last year, Steve continued: “It comes down to the collective efforts of just under two-hundred colleagues in Alfreton and Darley Mills successfully serving hundreds of thousands of UK consumers. And, of course, we’re able to offer our customers competitive prices on top brands amidst a cost-of-living crisis, and the value of that can’t be understated.”
A1 Comms’ ranking at number thirty-three puts the Derbyshire business in the company of other well-known local businesses such as Toyota, Bowmer & Kirkland, Rolls Royce and Motorpoint.
